Tamang- Climbing and Trekking Experience
I grew up in a small
village in the Everest Area. Even as a young boy, I wanted
to carry a backpack and join the trekking groups. Like every
other Nepali guide, I worked my way up from porter, to cook and
finally to guide. Please browse my expertise in the following
areas:

Language I
grew up speaking the Tamang language at home and Nepali and English
at school, so learning languages is part of my life. Between
treks, I am always busy taking language classes at institutes
in Kathmandu, so I can communicate better with clients.
I have concentrated on spoken English classes but also taken written
English, Francais and Italiano classes. I am comfortable
speaking with clients in any of these languages. |
High Altitude Expeditions
In my earlier years, I worked mostly as a high-altitude
porter and climbing Sherpa on 8000m peaks. These expeditions
gave me a lot of experience with complex logistics, bad weather,
large groups and safe mountain travel at high altitude. Check
out the list below of expeditions I climbed with!

Leading Treks
As my language and trekking skills increased
I started leading both tea house and camping treks. I have
trekked in most of the areas from Kanchenjunga in eastern Nepal,
around my home in the Everest area, to Dolpo in western Nepal.
I have organized and led many kinds of treks from 3-day trips
around Kathmandu Valley to two month trips in remote and restricted
valleys:

Examples of treks I have led: |

Leading climbs
of Trekking Peaks
Trekking peaks are lower altitude peaks below
7000 m in Nepal that have cheaper permit costs. I have led many
successful trips to Trekking Peaks across Nepal (see the list
below). I really enjoy trekking peaks because they are easier
and safer than larger peaks but they still take you to wild and
beautiful summits.
| Island Peak |
6163 m |
| Pisang Peak |
6119 m |
| Chulu West |
6419 m |
| Chulu East |
6584 m |
| Nayakhang |
6134 m |
| Ramdung |
5925 m |
| Tharpu Chuli |
5663 m |
| Himchuli |
6441 m |
| Labuje |
6120 m |
| Mera Peak |
6367 m |
