Pasang
Tamang- Reference lettters
Through out the years, I have been lucky to meet
and trek with many people from Europe and North America. They have
generously written reference letters about our experiences together.
Dr. Laurent
Godin (Assistant Professor, Earth Sciences, Simon Fraser University,
Canada)
Pasang has organized 6 scientific expeditions
for me since 1994. Some of these treks were in fairly popular
areas (i.e. Annapurnas), but some others were off the beaten track
(Nar - Phu valley, Hidden valley). In all circumstances, Pasang
has demonstrated professionalism, commitment, and dedication to
the success and pleasure of each trek. In my view, Pasang is one
of the best-kept gems of the Himalayas. He is sincere, honest,
and most importantly respectful of everyone's' needs. He treats
every support crew member with dignity, always making sure everyone
is safe, healthy…and having fun! After seeing and working
with several trekking companies, I can assure you that Pasang
can beat any price, and still offer one of the best, most friendly
service available today. Pasang has an amazing experience organizing
from the simplest trek in the foothills to the most elaborate
mountain climbing expedition. I highly recommend him to organize
your next Himalayan experience!

Dr. Mike Searle (Research Fellow, Oxford
University, United Kingdom) We
had a wonderful trek to the Annapurna region with Pasang Tamang
and his brothers and friends from his village. Having been to
Nepal 8 times, Pasang and his crew were the most efficient, and
most pleasant outfit I have been with. We were trekking off the
beaten path and Pasang organised everything super-efficiently.
The whole crew were always great fun to be with and I can recommend
him without reservation. Whatever you want to do in Nepal, wherever
you want to go you will not find a person better than Pasang!

Tomas Ryan I have spent about a month trekking with Pasang last April. I feel so grateful to have had Pasang as my guide. I consider him a friend now. He is intelligent, hard worker and extremely good at organizing. His knowledge and amount of experience on the mountain amazes me.
During the trek, he takes extra steps to ensure you are doing well and is always ready to help. Pasang makes sure you have everything you need. Pasang is also an amazing climber. I will always remember him climbing steep snow/ice, he is so fast, so strong and so happy. He is definitely born to live up high.
I am dreaming of another climb with this wonderful friend.
There is no doubt in my mind, on my next trip to Nepal, Pasang will be my guide, whether it is for a trek or technical climbing or bigger expedition. I fully trust him and know he will do everything to provide a superb experience.

English:
I had the occasion to do an easy trek during my for Christmas vacation
2002. It was Kathamndu valley and Chitwan Park. Pasang was one of our
2 guides. I really appreciated his kindness, his skills for trekking,
his indisputable experience, and the attention he paid to each of us
all the time. So I decided to come back to Nepal trekking with Pasang
in March 2003. I know everything will be well organized and it
will be very pleasant to learn Nepali with Pasang :)
